the light garden

This stained-glass, refracted light experience, is both a vehicle to honor my child's legacy and a kinesthetic means of bringing color back into my own world.

While grieving the tragic death of my 12-year-old daughter, I asked my community to send me their favorite pieces of "peacock-colored" transparent sheet glass, rondels, and glass jewels.

Created in two batches, “the eight“ and “the filson series,” I used these donated pieces to create twelve stained glass panels featuring abstracted peacock feathers. Now, I am in the process of mounting these panels on a 6' wide by 3' tall, steel-framed, geodesic play structure.
