I have always found solace in making art, but it wasn’t until I began working with glass that I discovered the luminosity of color I so craved. With the use of line, shape, color, opacity, and transparency, I create the illusion of many layers and depth even though I am restricted to a single plane.

Nature is my central theme. It offers perfectly formed shapes, patterns, dynamic proportions, vibrant color, and endless variety. Though it follows the rules of geometry, it also carries deep emotional resonance. My goal is to distill nature to its essence while preserving that emotional quality.

The materials I use are original and mouth-blown, custom made for each project by local artisans. I choose these handcrafted sheets and rondels for their organic textures, imperfect circles, and occasional air bubbles. By working together, we can create exacting colors that contribute to the impact of my work. It is my desire to enhance the value of the glass rather than get in the way of it.
